Sanibel Island, FL (May 28, 2009) - Stephen McBane, of John Gee Realty, recently received his Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) designation after completing a series of intensive professional development courses that educate realtors on local, state and national real estate practices and standards.
The GRI is a program of the National Association of Realtors® and administered through State Realtor® Associations. To receive the designation, McBane completed 90 hours of coursework which provide realtors with a strong educational foundation on industry business practices, trends, technology, legal and regulatory standards, and ethics.
A resident of Sanibel Island for nearly 40 years, McBane began his full-time career in real estate in 2006. In 2007, he was named “Real Estate Rookie of the Year” for Sanibel and Captiva Islands by VIP Realty. McBane graduated from Washington University & Principia College. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors® and a member of the Sanibel & Captiva Association of Realtors®.He is looking forward to working on his Brokers License as well as the specialized designations of SCIS that focuses on their enhanced knowledge of the island their expertise in selling island real estate.
